About Gary Eakes
Gary Eakes is an avid woodworker located on the banks of the Pedernales River in Spicewood, Texas. His enthusiasm with woodworking took off in 2002 when he attended a school of Lutherie in Vermont. After building a few acoustic guitars Gary began developing skills to create other types of wood crafts. In addition to building guitars his specialties include; customized furniture, wood turnings, decorative boxes & bowls, picture frames, and unique wood gifts.
Gary’s creations are primarily in the hands of family and friends. His woodworking has been primarily a hobby. However, he has been encouraged by many that possess pieces of his art that he should market his talents to others. Woodenthusiast.com was developed to share his works of wood to a broader audience.
